E-ZPass Group – FL, E-ZPass is only accepted on the Central Florida Expressway Authority’s 118-mile toll road network in Metro Orlando which includes downtown Orlando and surrounding communities. The Florida Turnpike has administrativly joined the E-ZPass Group and is in the process of making changes to their systems in order to accept E-ZPass in their toll lanes. We expect this work to be completed in the 1st Quarter of 2021. At that time E-ZPass will be accepted by all Florida Toll Agencies.
It is not possible to use E-ZPass in Florida therefore, it does not work in the state. However, there are plans of including the state within the E-ZPass network, and that’s happening soon. Still, like the rest of the states, Florida uses an individual version of the E-ZPass system. 7/16/2020 · As part of an expansion, as of September 2018, motorists who had an E-ZPass transponder were able to use it for toll roads in Central Florida that were serviced by the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) (In purple below). CFX uses the E-Pass electronic toll payment system. However the toll roads serviced by Florida’s Turnpike Enterprises (part of the Florida Department of Transportation [FDOT]) (in green below) still were not compatible with the E-ZPass .
8/30/2018 · But E-ZPass is not accepted on the other ramps of the same interchange. Florida’s Turnpike is operated by Florida’s Department of Transportation, and the Central Florida GreeneWay is partially operated by CFX and, in part, by FDOT.

10/26/2020 · It was announced yesterday (7/6/2020), that FTE (Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise) which operates SunPass will join the E-ZPass Group. This would bring E-ZPass .
